Lisa Wallis joined whg as Corporate Director of People and Culture in 2022 and has since driven a profound transformation in the organisation’s people strategy, culture, and leadership. As a CIPD Chartered Fellow, Lisa brings both deep expertise and commercial acumen, overseeing a broad remit including HR, Learning, Inclusion, Culture, and Facilities across a 800-strong workforce and 22,000 homes.
In 2024, Lisa led the development of whg’s first-ever Diversity and Inclusion, Learning and Development, and Wellbeing Strategies, alongside a new overarching People Strategy aligned to the organisation’s 2030 corporate plan. She redefined performance management, leadership capability, and colleague engagement through data-driven initiatives, including a digitally delivered Performance Management Framework and a comprehensive leadership development programme.
Lisa’s empathetic and commercially savvy leadership has driven impressive outcomes: a 50% increase in performance management engagement, a 14-point rise in employee net promoter score, and reductions in voluntary turnover and wellbeing risks. Her work has also positively impacted customer satisfaction, with a 5% uplift and a 34% increase in repairs completed on time, contributing to whg’s highest-ever regulatory ratings.
