Since joining in 2024, Saira has transformed the Trust’s People Directorate into a strategic partner, significantly improving staff survey response rates from 40% to 62%. She achieved a dramatic reduction in agency staffing spend, bringing it down to just 0.5% of the pay bill—among the lowest in the NHS. Saira also drove operational excellence in recruitment and sickness absence management while launching the Trust's first EDI strategy. Her commitment to mentorship is equally notable; she has supported over 30 individuals from lower socioeconomic and global majority backgrounds into senior leadership roles over the past five years.
